WENTUS ON VACATION
Hello everybody!
2011 ended for us with successful shows in Norway, Sweden and Finland. We had a real blast in Oslo at the bluesclub a fantastic evening at Akkurat and also many of the other were real memorable nights for us. I think we all wanted to give our best since we all knew that 2012 is coming around the corner and we have been talking about taking a break.
We celebrated our 25 years anniversary in October and we have been constantly on the road since 1996. When you look back now it is just amazing how much we have done and the amount of shows we have played.. We have done about 2500 shows, made a price-nominated film, released several albums, travelled and toured all over Europe with our friends Carey Bell, Louisiana Red, Phil Guy, Eddie Kirkland, Mick Taylor and many more.. many of these guys are gone now.. we thank them for all the great moments we had with them, may they rest in peace..
We will be doing some shows in 2012 but we will take a break and relax for awhile.. Last chance to enjoy Wentus Blues Band before this will be in Helsinki at the Savoy-Theatre on Saturday February 4th. Our dear first lady of the blues will guest with us on this special night since she will also release her new album “Looking For Mr God“ on Warner records the January 27th.
